Feeling the rush

Christmas has hit our house like a tonne of bricks! We've had a lot of rainy days so to keep the girls sane I allowed them go nuts with decorating the house. The back room is gloriously tacky with tinsel and metallic boughs cascading from the ceiling and lots of handmade decorations. I even splashed out and got an enormous tinsel chandelier from IGA that hangs quite low in the middle of the room. I don't know how long it will last though as the girls love to jump up to see if they can reach it! Like I said...gloriously tacky :)
I feel a bit overwhelmed with how much I have to do. I'm running so far behind with listing my goodies and I have to wait to do my Christmas shopping for another week (when hubby has his next day off).  I just know the days are going to fly by and it's making me feel quite anxious that I won't get it all done. I'm sure I'm not the only one feeling this way. Am I?

I hope you all have a fulfilling day and a lovely weekend, I'm off to work (in the cafe today).

I like the sound of the tacky tinselly room - it sounds very festive!
I am totally disorganised, as usual. I am trying to write lists and hoping I can do not too much running around. I just hate the crowds! I am looking forward to a couple of weeks off work :)

Happy decorating Alisa! I agree with Simone about the tinsel. Minimalist Christmas without tinsel is just..well, not the same.
