Brides and butterflies

As my last post already told you...I need to buckle down and get some work done. I've sold all of my beautiful head bandeaus...all but this one. A new headpiece perfect for the Autumn Bride. My camera doesn't really do it justice. It is made from both new and vintage laces, an offcut from a vintage silk shirt and beautiful faux velvet blooms embellished with swarovski crystal pearls. I've also handbeaded some small swarovski crystals and sequins to add a little twinkle. This piece will be heading off to Kathryn's shop in Mudgee.

I'll also show you my butterfly headpiece that I made to wear at Amelia's Easter hat parade. It's a bit crazy but that's how I roll. Some of the mummies gave me strange looks but meh....I had fun :)

I'm off now to enjoy another cuppa and possibly a few left over choccy eggs.

Enjoy the rest of your day sweet followers!

I love the look of both. The bridal do-dad would be beautiful with a romantic, vintage inspired dress. Your butterflies remind me of that massive Philip Treacy contraption that one of Fergie's daughter's wore once. Butterflies make great hairpieces, fake ones though!

You always know you are doing something right when you get the strange looks I reckon!I can picture a beautiful bias cut silk satin dress a la Carole Lombard to go with the headpiece!
